Temporary Visitors - Foreign Press Correspondents
A temporary visa may be obtained if you are a Correspondent of an overseas media agency. It is necessary, however,
to have a letter from the agency which is being represented in Panama, as well as a certification from the Ministry of Government &
Justice.
NOTE: All documents which are issued overseas should be duly
Apostilled or by the Panamanian Consulate or Embassy in the country in which they were
issued and then by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Panama.

Requirements to obtain a Temporary Visitor Visa as a Press Correspondent of an
Overseas Media Agency

Power of Attorney and Application through a Lawyer.

Medical Certificate of Good Health, issued no more than three (3) months before the date of
presentation. (Should be signed and be sealed, with the name, code and registration number of the doctor).

HIV Test, taken no more than six (6) months before the presentation date. (Should specify the
method used and have the sign and seal of the lab technician that did the test, with their name, code and registration number).

Certificate from the Ministry of Government & Justice.

Letter from the overseas Press Agency.

Police Certificate of Good Conduct issued by the Panamanian Technical Judicial Police (P.T.J.)

Certification of the full names of the Applicant's parents and their nationalities.

Photocopy of the passport page, where the general details of the applicant are shown.

Original passport, which must be valid for at least six more months.

Certification of full names and nationalities of the applicant(s).

Four (4) passport-sized photos.
