
Immigrants & Permanent Residency in Panama
Immigrant Visas grant to their holders Provisional Residency for one year, and upon the expiry of this term, Permanent Residency with a
right to a Cédula (identity card). Furthermore, it opens the way for a foreigner to apply for nationalisation should they later wish
to do so after emigrating to Panama.
The following options are available:
- Married to a Panamanian (3 years)
- Work permit (10 years)
- Personal Economic Means (Personal Income) - (minimum deposit of
CD 200,000.00 or CD 120,000.00 + 80,000.00 in a property investments for approximately 3 years - 5-6 years)
- Investor (minimum investment of USD$155,001.00 for approximately 3 years - 5-6
years)
- Investor in Small Enterprise (minimum investment of
USD$40,000.00 for approximately 4 years - 8-10 years)
- Agricultural (10 years approximately)
- City of Knowledge work visa program (granting to investors 5 working visas)
- Dependent of a Resident
