Linette Landau

Professional Experience: Has served in the Civil Aviation Authority as Head of the Legal Department, Flight Standards Department, and as Manager Consultant of the Aviation Security Program for airports security in Panama sponsored by IADB during the years 2008 and 2009. Director of Tax and Legal Services at KPMG Panama from 2000-2003. Served as Solicitor General Alternate from 1995 to 2004, and also served as Acting Solicitor General in many occassions during said period of time. She has been a professor of Public Finance and Tax Law at the University of Science and Technology (ULACIT), Masters Programs and also at the Faculty of Law and Political Science in 1993. She has worked as an associate in the firms: Rubio, Alvarez, Solis & Abrego; Arosemena, Noriega & Contreras and Sucre; Aparicio, Bernal & Shirley.

Author: Under the sponsorship of the Organization of American States prepared in 2000 the research work: “Review of the National Legislation to identify measures to prevent corruption in public office and to determine the legislative sanctions to allow the execution of an effective legislative control”.

Education: Degree in Law and Political Sciences from the University of Panama, graduated in 1977.  She earned a Master in Tax Law at “The John Marshall Law School Graduate of Taxation”, Chicago, Illinois in the United States in 1983.
